security consultation
February 2009
Following a spate of incidents and the theft of existing CCTV cameras, Pimhole Community Farm were looking for a security company to supply and install a vandal-proof system to protect its livestock. The family-run farm offer schoolchildren and visitors the chance to learn about caring for animals, including ponies, lambs, pigs, geese and rabbits. The organisation also runs a rehabilitation programme for young offenders, and young people with long-term unemployment who want to work with animals.
Absolute Group UK were so impressed by the set-up at Pimhole Community Farm and the good that was being done for the community, they were keen to help their cause - a grant from Bury Council paid for the system and Absolute performed the install free of charge. Stuart Andrews, Chairman of Pimhole Community Farm said, 'our isolated location here has made us a target for thieves and vandals. We were delighted that Absolute Group UK were able to help us with farm security as not only do we rely on grants to run the farm but the generosity of local businesses to provide their services.'
